I made the above video after yesterday’s tragic events. My prayers were and are with the victims of the horrible incident, and I’m grateful that the former president was not seriously wounded.
Political violence is completely unacceptable and has no place in our society. It’s important to remember that at a time when the air in America was already crackling with political tension, each of us has a part to play in toning down the violence. Beginning with our own minds, our own words, our own actions, we can co-create a more peaceful world.
We will continue to be violent until we commit to non-violence.
With every thought of love and act of forgiveness, every word of tenderness and act of mercy, we help to purify the air of the toxic tensions that now beset our country. Let’s be devoted to peaceful thought and action, to being better people so we can help our country get past this dark and dangerous hour.
God Bless us all. |
