Friends,
Over the past week and a half, we’ve discovered the depths of the depravity of Hamas terrorists brutally kidnapping, raping, torturing, and murdering thousands of innocent Israelis. The videos, images, and stories are gruesome and devastating, but we must not turn away from these horrors.
The unpleasant truth is there are people on this planet who hate the West – countries like Israel and the U.S. – only because of who we are. They’re not seeking justice. They simply lust for destruction and pain.
Yet, everywhere we turn, leftwing extremists – in BLM, in academia, at the United Nations – insist the Israelis have brought this unthinkable evil upon themselves, or at the very least, both Israel and Hamas share an obligation to find a cooperative solution.
Let me be clear: there are no “two sides” worthy of consideration here. There is Israel, and there are terrorists.
Now is not the time for moral equivocation. For all the accusations of Republican racism, it is Democrats who have long excused antisemitism within their ranks – look no further than the writings of Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), who proudly praised anti-Jewish leaders like Louis Farrakhan – and they must now face their own moral reckoning.
Bottom line: we need real leadership in this country, including a president who is willing to do what it takes to meaningfully back America’s greatest ally in the region, as well as defend our safety at home. It’s time for courage in action, not stumbling and dithering, and with your support, I am ready to answer the call.
When I’m president, there will be no doubt where this country stands. There will be no false equivalencies. There will be no uncertainty. We will stand united with our friends in Israel and against anyone who would harm them.
Thank you,
Larry Elder
GOP Candidate for President
