Earlier this year, I dropped my husband, Michael, who is a combat veteran, off at 4 am for another year-long deployment. I watched him and 230 soldiers pick up their two duffle bags of belongings to go to a country they have never been to, all in the name of protecting America. If they are willing to protect us from there, we should be willing to fight for America here.

I’m running because I want my husband and his military brothers and sisters to know that their sacrifice means something – that we do love this country.

I’m also running for president because I want my kids and our future generations to experience everything the American Dream has to offer.

I'm blessed to have amazing kids. My daughter, Rena, has been there at every debate, cheering me on.

My son, Nalin, makes time over his college breaks to join me on the campaign trail – in fact, he was with me in Iowa today. And, he takes time every week to send out $5 Friday email updates so you all can continue to get to get a behind-the-scenes look at our family.

But I also know that times are tough, and America can be doing so much better. Earlier this year, I watched my daughter, Rena, marry her high school sweetheart. It was a joyous occasion. But, I also watched how hard it was for her and her husband to buy a home.

Just a few months ago, I dropped my son, Nalin off at college for his senior year at Villanova. I know that he shouldn’t have to write papers on things he doesn’t believe in just to get an A.

We’ve got a country to save. Together, we can save her. It’s why I’m running for president.

And it’s why I haven’t stopped fighting for a single moment.

I’ve held over 180 campaign events where I shake every hand, meet every voter, and answer every question.

I’ve won four debates and we still have more to come.

I've surged to second in the polls and I am within striking distance of winning New Hampshire.

We have a scrappy but amazing campaign team, we're spending our money wisely, and we're pouring our all into each and every day.

People like you have been there every step of the way, and people like you are how I know we can win this race.

Now, we have just over two weeks until the first votes take place in Iowa. 8 days later, New Hampshire will go to the polls.

We’ve been putting in the hard work, and it’s been paying off. But there’s still more work to be done.

We can’t waste a single moment. Not when the future of our country is on the line.

Tonight we’re up against my last FEC deadline before voting begins. It’s an important milestone that will show the strength of the movement we’ve been building since the very beginning.

My name is Nikki Haley. I want to tell you a bit about myself and why I’m running for President of the United States.

I’m running for President because my parents came to America more than 50 years ago – an America that was strong and proud, and full of opportunities. I want them to know that America again.

I’m running for President as a military spouse. My husband is deployed and I want him and his military brothers and sisters to know their sacrifice means something – that we do love this country.

I’m running for President for the future of our kids. I have a daughter who just got married and I saw how hard it was for her and her husband to buy a home. I’m doing this for my son who’s a senior in college and shouldn’t have to worry about saying things on a paper that he doesn’t believe in just to get an A.

I’m running for my daughter, my son, and our future generations. I want them to experience the freedom and opportunity that the American Dream has to offer.

I’m running for President because we have a country to save!

I’ve seen that even on our worst days, we are blessed to live in America. But I also know that under Biden’s leadership, times are tough, our future is slipping, and America can be doing so much better.

As governor, I was dubbed a “jobs governor” because I slashed our unemployment rate, brought jobs back to our state, and shepherded in a successful economic recovery.

At the UN I fought for America, made sure our allies knew we had their backs, and stood up to murderers and dictators to let them know that America was taking names.

I know how to make America strong and proud because I’ve done it before. And I’ll do it as your next President.

As President, I’ll revitalize our economy, support small businesses, stop Washington’s spending sprees, protect our border, champion school choice, and save America’s future.
