My Father Ed

Friend, I want to tell you about my father Ed Pence. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Friend, I want to tell you about my father Ed Pence.

My father was not a native Hoosier, but his character and values were right at home in Indiana. If Dad gave you his word, you could count on it. And those words did not mince.

He was a combat veteran in Korea and the son of an immigrant. He earned the respect of everyone around him and he instilled in me a deep sense of duty.

He was tough on his children, but it made us stronger. I remember asking him why he never encouraged us and he would say “The whole world is going to tell you how great you are. My job is to tell you how to do better”.

He had a standard he expected us to meet. He wanted us to keep our word and treat those around us with respect.

Today, having respect for others and a dedication to work hard is being lost in America. The radical Left encourages everyone to disrespect those who disagree with them and they believe everyone deserves a participation trophy.

Our core American values are being lost to the radical Left and it is up to us to do something about it.
