I feel this is the most important email I have written to you since I announced my run for the presidency.

On Friday the A-rated Emerson poll showed us at 10% against President Biden among Democratic voters.

Let me tell you why that’s so important. Ten percent is a big deal for any candidate, but think what that means in our case: ten percent amid a complete media blackout.

The black-out itself is problematic, of course, because it is completely undemocratic. Mainstream media is simply doing the bidding of a political establishment  doing everything it can to suppress any candidacy other than President Biden’s.

A DNC executive called our campaign manager Friday with a warning, informing him we were “going against the rules” they put in place on October 14th. Any candidate who campaigns in New Hampshire, opens an office there, or has their name on the ballot will receive no delegates. Of course it wasn’t quite clear whether that would pertain to the President himself, whose write-in Campaign — including staff — is more than an open secret in New Hampshire!

This is another critical point in the campaign. The President’s poll numbers continue to drop. In a match against former President Trump, he doesn’t even consistently break even. For those of us concerned about a second Trump Presidency, this is not the time to let others do our thinking for us. It’s time to break free of the DNC’s official narrative and open up this race!

“She can’t win” is a narrative they use to describe my run against Biden; after all, they are working so hard to insure it. But I assure you it does not apply to my running against Trump. Republican voters, including Trump voters, come to my talks and regularly tell me they would vote for me. Why? Because anti-corporate messages ring true these days on both Right and Left!

Also critical is the war in Israel and Palestine. At a time when a conflict with the potential to start World War III stands before us, this is not the time to limit voices within the Democratic Party. While I do appreciate the President's moral clarity, unlike him, I have called for a cease-fire. Brute force is not always the answer in such situations, and here it brings with it a profound moral quandary as well as dangerous military uncertainty. Contrary to DNC talking points, mine is the truly serious campaign - and they know that. We’re serious about medical debt, serious about poverty, serious about millions of American struggling to make it in a rigged economy, and more. We offer the deepest analysis and boldest solutions to the serious challenges that confront us as a country. And at a moment like this, each of us needs to be serious enough to think deeply about what that means.

Most importantly, I am the candidate with the best chance of defeating the fascists who oppose us. And why? Because we offer fundamental economic reform and the most enlightened foreign policy. Neither our democracy, nor our species, can afford a continuation of the status quo. And if that is all the Democrats offer in 2024, too many people will simply stay home.

Please give and give generously so we can scale the campaign in the way that’s necessary to win. These are very serious times, and with your help we will meet them.
